Vision:

Mission:

To prompt student’s imagination and to imbibe critical thinking skills through innovative pedagogical strategies in addition to imparting good communication and referencing skills.

English Language Lab:

               An English Language Laboratory was set up in the department in 2017 with advanced audio-visual equipment to aid students in imparting language skills. The ELL consists of 30 decently configured computers with advanced language software installed. It has also internet connectivity with LAN. The Laboratory is effectively utilized for various self-enhancement and soft skill development activities. Laboratory proves beneficial for those students who are poor in use of English language. Students from rural areas who are generally weak in English can have sufficient ear training in the language lab. It aims at confidence-building among students for interactions and presentations in English. The basic purpose of the lab is to provide students a platform to enhance English language skills, communication skills and to practice soft skills. 

The main objectives of the Language Laboratory are: 

  1. To equip the students with good communication skills.
  2. To train them well in terms of pronounciation.
  3. To prepare them for interviews and future job environments. 
  4. To teach proper and intonation through constant listening and speaking.

ELL Etiqutte

  • Use only English in English class and lab.
  • Follow the instructions of the lecturer clearly before doing the activity.
  • Seek the help of the guide or peers before FIXING a trouble.
  • Do not use the system for personal purposes.
  • Avoid using other’s computer of keyboard.
  • Write down or record the important data before shutting down the system.
  • Ensure the safety of the furniture and the computers in the lab.
