About the Department
The Department of Computer Science & Applications was established in the year 1998.
Department continuously strives hard to strengthen the technical skills of the students by conducting several workshops, seminars and guest lecturers along with regular curricular activities. Our department has come up with many digital initiatives like Online Teaching, Organizing in house FDP's on digital tools, Online Certificate Courses, designing LMS, Virtual Classrooms, Digital Class rooms participating in live Manatv classes, etc. Various online open tools like Google Class Rooms, Google forms, Plickers, etc are being used for regular class room teaching-learning-evaluation process.
Department is having skilled and committed faculty. Currently the department is having 2 regular faculty members and one contract faculty. They are publishing their research articles in various reputed journals and conferences.

- To develop computer professionals by provinding quality education and empowering them as innovatinve, Self-motive and socially responsible professionals.
Mission
- To impart the knowledge of current technologies and to equip the students with required skill sets and personality traits such as team building and communication skills besides the contents of the syllabus.
- To strengthen the programming knowledge by concentrating on the fundamental concepts of computer science.
- To improve the students skills through student centric teaching learning process.
- To impart the employability skills.

Strengths
- The Department provides books and other learning materials, PPTs, Skill development which enables students to acquire information and improve knowledge.
- The ICT and Virtual mode learning resources help the students to acquire new technology for computer based jobs.
Weaknesses
- The socio-economic background of many of the students
- Most of the students are of first generation
- Poor communication skills in English.
