Visvodaya Government Degree College, Venkatagiri, had a humble beginning in 1968, with a noble vision to disseminate education in the Venkatagiri region. Over the years, the college has played a catalytic role in igniting the educational aspirations among the young minds. Today, in a sprawling campus of around 19 acres, the college facilitates opportunities for the students to excel in both academics and life skills.

The college has undergone 1st cycle of NAAC accreditation in 2013-14. With NAAC ‘B’ grade, the college enjoys a distinct status within the region. Subsequently, the college has been sanctioned funds under the prestigious Rashtriya Uchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA). Now, it is gearing up for the 2nd cycle of NAAC re-accreditation. In addition, the grant of 2(f) and 12(B) status by the UGC empowered the college to have an organic link with the higher education system of the country.
