About the Department
The Department of lab technology at govt. degree college established 2020 venkatagiri, Tirupathi dt.The major role of a medical laboratory is to assist in the diagnosis and the treatment of diseases by performing qualitative,quatitative or screeing test by analyzing bodyfluids,tissuses,blood typing,microorganisms screeing,chemical analysis,cell counts of human bodies etc. They determine the presence,extent or absence of disease and provide data needed to evaluate effectiveness of treatment.

Medical laboratory science graduates excel as innovative practitioners committted to excellence and a collaborative and healthy work environment.These graduates play pivotal role in the provision of quality health care and in scholarship for the advancement of self,the profession and society.
Mission
The mission of the medical laboratory science programme is to recruit, educate and prepare highly competent medical laboratory scientist to serve their patients and the heath care profession while demonstrating high ethical and moral standards.
Aims and Objectives
- To produce good lab technologists of skills,competence and integrity
- To train to carryout laboratory investigations accurately and provide reliable reports to facilitate proper diagnosis & prognosis of diseases
- To develop knowledge and skill in according to the demand in the field of the MLT
- To make awareness on the principle under lying organization of chemical laboratory
- To make capable of support advance testing activities
